As a writer, she had the opportunity to write personal accounts of learning to snowboard, telemark-ski, rock climb, ice climb, compete in triathlon, paddleboard, sky dive, and fly-fish, most of which she still enjoys regularly today. Among her favorite outdoor time is a quiet, sunlit backcountry ski tour, a meditative open water swim, and mountain-top yoga. She is a former member of the US Figure Skating Team; before moving to the Adirondacks she worked in production for ABC Sports and skated professionally in the Ice Capades. Today she earns a living in a combination of her passions that include coaching/ choreographing for competitive skaters, teaching yoga, and event planning/ design with Juniper Events. At home, everyday is an adventure with her husband, three boys, and dog Bo. www. juniperevents.org www.lakeplacidyoga. com Mim Are you interested in becoming a contributor?
