Their Natural Market, Café & Deli offers organic groceries, a sit-down café, and catering services for events large and small. Their Market on Main St. offers a grab-and- go deli and salad bar, plus organic grocery options. Their Nordic Café, Bar, and Waffle Hut at Mt. Van Hoevenberg provides skiers with healthy food and drinks in the winter. When not enhancing the health of their community, Wynde and Tammy enjoy volunteering for Farm to School and Global Arts organizations and exploring in nature with their families. Wynde & Tammy PETER SLOCUM is coordinator of the Friends of Hurricane Mountain, and he has led hiking trips in the Adirondacks for more than 30 years. A former newspaper reporter and then public health advocate, Slocum also volunteers with local history, arts, and health organizations. He lives in Keene with his wife, Shaker researcher and author, Ann Sayers. Peter PAUL SORGULE is a long time Adirondack chef, culinary educator, restaurant consultant and trainer, and author. Culinary Olympic Gold Medal winner, 2001 National Culinary Educator of the Year, and author of two novels, Paul is passionate about good food and its sources. He lives with his wife, Sharon, in Saranac Lake, where they raised three children and now enjoy visiting their six grandkids. Paul JODY DIXON is a health coach who lives in Northville with her husband, Mike Feldman, where they run a small bed & breakfast. They have explored every corner of the Adirondacks as whitewater kayakers, backcountry skiers, hikers, and mountain bikers. Although Jody does not consider herself a mountain bike "racer," she can't resist competing in The Adirondack Trail Ride, and chronicles her rides at www.adkhealthycoach.com Jody BETHANY GARRETSON is an Environmental Studies instructor at Paul Smith's College in upstate New York. She's a passionate mountain climber and writer, and her research examines the intricate relationship between nature and culture. Bethany TYLER SOCASH proudly hails from Old Forge, NY. He believes in fostering a personal connection with public lands through experience, education, and stewardship. The day after completing his master's degree at the University of Rochester, Socash embarked on a 7,000-mile thru-hiking journey across the Pacific Crest Trail, Te Araroa in New Zealand, and the Appalachian Trail. Returning home to the Adirondacks in 2016, Socash works as the Adirondack Mountain Club's Education Programs Coordinator. Tyler
