Winter 2019 LOCALadk Magazine 11 LOCALadk JACK DRURY is Senior Advisor to Adirondack Hamlets to Huts. He is also Professor Emeritus of North Country Community College, having founded the college's Wilderness Recreation Leadership Program. He has trained educators throughout North America, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. Jack is past president of the Wilderness Education Association, and has co-authored five books on wilderness education. Jack Raised in Hartford, Connecticut, TONY GOODWIN spent summers in Keene Valley, becoming Adirondack 46er number 211 in 1961. He moved to Keene full-time in 1976, and has been the editor for ADK's High Peaks Trails and map since 1984. In 1986 he helped found the Adirondack Ski Touring Council, which constructed the twenty-four-mile Jackrabbit Trail. He is also the long- standing executive director of the Adirondack Trail Improvement Society. Tony JOEY PRIOLA is a photographer and scientist with a passion for exploring and photographing the Adirondacks with his wife and dog. Joey PAUL SORGULE is a long time Adirondack chef, culinary educator, restaurant consultant and trainer, and author. Culinary Olympic Gold Medal winner, 2001 National Culinary Educator of the Year, and author of two novels, Paul is passionate about good food and its sources. His blog: www.harvestamericacues.com has been viewed and shared by nearly 1.5 million readers. He lives with his wife, Sharon, in Saranac Lake, where they raised three children and now enjoy visiting their six grandkids. Paul COLIN DELANEY can often be found on the coaches stand at the Olympic Jumping Complex, on the trails at Mount Van Hoevenberg on skis, or on BETA mountain bike trails. In between, you might see him wrenching bikes, tuning skis, or entering inventory at High Peaks Cyclery, a family business he is proud to be a part of. Colin MAUREEN WERTHER is a freelance writer, author, and public relations/communications consultant. She writes for many of the leading magazines, journals, and newspapers in the area and is the author of Them That Has—The Story of a 1790's Adirondack House and the People Who Made it Famous.
