Turmeric-Coconut Golden Milk
Ingredients:
1" fresh turmeric finely chopped or 1 teaspoon
powdered turmeric
½" fresh ginger—finely chopped
2 cups water
1 can coconut milk
3 Tbsp maple syrup
2 more cups water
Fresh black pepper
Directions
In a medium pot mix turmeric, ginger, and 2 cups wa-
ter. Bring to a boil, and then turn down to simmer for
5 minutes. Strain the ginger and turmeric. To the left-
over turmeric-ginger and water mix add coconut milk,
maple syrup, and 2 more cups of water. Bring up to a
boil and simmer till coconut milk is dissolved. Ser ve
with a sprinkle of black pepper
Health Benefits—Turmeric is an anti-inflammator y
whose benefits are enhanced by black pepper; ginger
is a digestive aid. Coconut milk contains good fats.
