Here's what's happening this spring June 16th, 2013, 12PM Father's Day Frog Jump Contest: Children can bring their champion frog to win prizes and fathers should wear their most outrageous tie! Largest, smallest, and longest jumper. Great family fun! Don't worry, all frogs are released unharmed. Organizer: Central Adirondack Association Location: Old Forge Lakefront June 29th, 2013 Kiwanis Paddle Classic: Welcoming all classes of canoes and kayaks. A 6-Mile Race from Old Forge Pond to Treasure Island and back and a 12-Mile Race from Old Forge Pond to Alger Island and back. Location: Registration at Hemmer Cottage 7:30-8:50AM on race day TOWN OF INLET (Inlet Events, InletNy.com/EventsCalendar) May 1st, 2013, 9AM – 2PM Community Pride Day: A day to clean up the streets and get ready for summer! June 1st, 2013, 9:00AM - 2:00PM National Trails Day: Celebrate with us by hiking one of our many trails with Mitch Lee. Location: Meet at Inlet Town Hall at 9:00 am June 7th - June 9th, All Day Adirondack Boreal Birding Festival: Join us for a festival celebrating the Boreal Birds of the Adirondacks. This 3 day event features hikes, canoe trips, walks, safaris, outings and seminars throughout the county. All field trips are free, but registration is required for each outdoor event. We will walk from Arrowhead Park to Drake's Inn and back. Registration & Chinese Auction at Arrowhead Park opens at 9AM. The Memory Walk is under 3 miles. We even provide golf carts for those who are not able to walk but are there to support the event. After the walk there will be live music & food and the winners of the Chinese Auction will be announced at 1PM.
