LOCALadk 58 CHAGA-CACAO ICED L ATTE Paired with Kahlua • 4 Tbsp. or 4 tea bags Birch Boys Chaga Granules • 6 Tbsp. cacao powder (sub. cocoa powder) • 8 Tbsp. honey or maple syrup • 6 cups water • 4 cups oat milk or other milk • Ice cubes • Whipped cream • Cacao nibs • Kahlua, 1 shot per glass (optional) Directions Put chaga granules and water in a large pot. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to low and let simmer for 1 hour. Strain into a large container, taking out all the chaga granules (save chaga to be used again). Add cacao and honey to the chaga- infused beverage. Stir while hot so cacao and honey are absorbed. Let cool slightly and then store overnight in the fridge. To make the latte, remix your chaga concentrate to make sure cacao hasn't settled out. Fill a glass with ice. Add 6 ounces of chaga concentrate and 6 ounces of milk. For froth, put milk and chaga drink into a blender on high for 30 seconds, then serve over ice. Add Kahlua to turn a morning drink into an aernoon brewed booze concoction. I keep the chaga-cacao mix in the fridge for a week for making morning and aernoon lattes. ROSEBUD-LEMONADE SPRITZER Paired with Tequila • 4 Tbsp. dried rosebuds • 2 cups organic sugar • 2 cups water • 6 cups Saratoga Sparkling Water • 8 Tbsp. lemon juice • Ice • One With Life Organic Tequila, 1 shot per glass (optional) Directions Make the rosebud simple syrup: Combine sugar, water, and rosebuds in a small pot. Bring to a boil, stirring so sugar doesn't burn and rosebuds are immersed. Turn heat down to low and simmer 20 minutes. Remove pot from stove and cool for 1 hour with rosebuds. Strain the rosebuds out. Simple syrup will be very floral smelling. Transfer to a container with a lid and put in the refrigerator. Rosebud simple syrup can last two weeks in the fridge. At this point you can make the lemonade one cup at a time or in a big batch. e ratio per 12 oz. cup is 4 Tbsp. rosebud simple syrup, 1 Tbsp. lemon juice or half a lemon, and 10 oz. sparkling water. Fill a glass with ice, mix in rosebud simple syrup, lemon juice, and tequila if desired. Stir. Serve with a slice of lemon on the rim!
