e Adirondacks keep inspiring, whether it be a grown bounty, steep and rocky trails, wild animals, a placid body of water, or a piece of rich history. All these things inspire us to be creative, push ourselves physically and mentally, work hard and play hard, and be thankful for what the Park offers. We now begin the transition to cooler nights and shorter days. We wonder how summer could go so fast, but are also excited by the dramatic color changes that drape the Park in yellows, oranges and reds. Fall has flavors, colors, and scents that fill the air and make us glad to call the Adirondacks home. I for one can't imagine living anywhere else. I love and appreciate the transformation that takes place each season—yes, even mud season. e stories and photos we share in this issue are as varied as the leaves' colors and the folks who contributed to it. We continue to be thankful for the people who make this magazine happen.
