Lupines
I call them magic moments in nature. They are very
rare, and the challenge is to capture that esenece
in an image. It was high overcast with very soft
lighting, and not a breath of breeze for close to
an hour. Wind is my nemesis. My exposures were
1 second and longer. The mist had produced very
delicate pinhead size drops on the bottom of the
flowers. I had to position my tripod exactly to frame
the Lupines in the background perfectly within that
drop. My depth of Field was so shallow, I had to
focus by lightly pushing on the back of the camera.
It was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
