Rise and Shine

As I was setting up my tent in the evening I was
watching to see what the light was doing and to
look for ways to frame some shots in the morning.
Early morning summer light is so gorgeous and can
offer a photographer some amazing opportunities
such as this shot I call "Rise and Shine". I took a few
shots from the shore but after moving, quickly saw
where I wanted to be. I jumped in my kayak and
paddled out to a point where the sun was coming up
right behind the little island. Don't be afraid to move
around when taking pictures as a small move might
reveal a hidden treasure.
As Jerry Garcia reminds us, "once in a while you get
shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look
at it right"
