To fund her obsession with skiing and paddling, Janelle has worked for various environmental organizations around the Adirondacks. When she's not skiing or paddling (or daydreaming about either one), she is happiest observing birds or searching for the best piece of pie in the North Country. SYDNEY A former professional ice hockey player from Southern California, Sydney, is an all-around athlete. As a part of her master's thesis, she canoed the 740-mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail. After graduation, Sydney guided in various locations worldwide, including Austria, Japan, Malaysia, and Canada. When Sydney isn't busy with her expeditionary pursuits, she is usually cooking something fun in her kitchen. She lives in Lake Placid with her husband, Chris, who is happy to eat all of Sydney's delicious creations. AURORA Aurora Pfaff delights in living in Saranac Lake with her husband and spoiled cats. Working for a sustainable tourism non-profit, she writes extensively about local history, Santa, and stargazing. She has a Master's degree in English from Harvard University and is currently working towards getting her private pilot's license. BILL Bill Frazer calls himself a very fortunate man to live the life he loves in the Adirondacks with his wife Mel, daughter Maddie and dog Mapple. Bill moved to Lake Placid in 2003 after attending college in Gunnison Colorado with plans to move back West after graduate school, but after realizing how there was no other place on earth as cool as the Adirondack community, his wife and him planted their roots in the community they love. When not educating the local youth or coaching on the side of a ski trail, you can usually find him on some sort of an adventure with his family or friends that is two hours longer than expected.
