ERIC
Eric Adsit can't cross a bridge without looking for a river beneath it. He calls Lake Placid home and spends as
much time as possible on the rivers, trails, and mountains of the Adirondacks and beyond. When he's not helping
with LOCALadk, he can usually be found with a camera in hand producing films and photos celebrating the
outdoors and the communities found in the Adirondacks.
RHIANNON
Rhiannon Berry Adsit runs, bikes, swims, and writes whenever and wherever she can, gets unreasonably excited
about beautiful trees, and has yet to meet a dog she didn't love. Born and raised in North Syracuse, NY, she seeks
to instill hope, empathy, and kindness (along with vicarious fandom for Syracuse University basketball) in her
high school English students and beyond. When she isn't writing, teaching, or playing outdoors, she loves to
read, play music, and spend time with loved ones.

Tyler Barton is the program manager of the Adirondack Center for Writing. He's the author of two story collec-
tions, Eternal Night at the Nature Museum, and The Quiet Part Loud. His poetry manuscript about the housing
crisis, Gutters, was awarded an FY25 NYSCA Support for Artists grant. Learn more about his work at

Erik Schlimmer is the author of twelve books and is the dude behind Place Name Dude, a research endeavor
that's historically decoding 1,000 Adirondack toponyms. As he likes to say, "Behind every name there's a story,

INYENE
Inyene Bell is the co-founder of Access Wild Places. She is a current senior at Miss Hall's School and an alum
of North Country School. Her favorite subject has always been English. At school, she participates as a dorm
proctor, dance team manager, and film club president. In her daily life she's passionate about social justice issues
and making change in her own communities.
