JAKE Jake Handerhan is a newly-minted Adirondack local. After growing up near Albany, he found climbing during college in Buffalo. There, he studied Athletic Training and Environmental Science and has been fortunate to mix the two in his endeavors. Jake lives for big days out where he can just keep moving, no matter what the activity. But when that's not going on, he'll be busy catching up on the Cosmere and waiting for Rothfuss to publish The Doors of Stone. NATHANIEL Nathaniel Atkinson is the Resident Guideboat Builder at the ADKX and owner of Atkinson ADK Craft. He lives and works in Saranac Lake where he restores and builds Adirondack Guideboats between his skiing and paddling adventures. NOAH Noah is a professional ski patroller, guide, and outdoor educator based in Lake Placid, NY. He also serves on the board of directors for the Adirondack Community Avalanche Project. His foundation in education stems from his work for NYS DEC where he headed the High Peaks Education Program for several years. Very familiar with the Adirondack High Peaks, Noah spends time in the mountains with friends, clients, and solo - climbing backcountry cliffs and skiing Adirondack slides. CHARLIE Charlie Reinertsen lives in Saranac Lake. Always chasing his next salamander sighting, Charlie is the host and producer of the Saranac Lake Hootenanny and founder of the Northern Peatlands Project. You can learn more about his work and sign up for monthly stories from the field by visiting twolined.com. ASHLEY Ashley was born and raised in the beautiful Adirondack mountains and is happy to be home again after many years away. She works as an elementary school teaching assistant and is a proud parent of a twenty-four year old son and twenty year old stepdaughter. She can often be found playing in the woods with her husband and her English Setter. She can often not be found hiding away reading a book, needlepointing, or practicing the art of hygge.
