DEB Deb Morris and her husband Jim settled into their southern Adirondack home more than 20 years ago. Together, they raised their three kids, opened a chocolate company and now spend their free time traveling around the world sampling chocolate, of course. PAUL Paul Post, a former long-time reporter for The Saratogian newspaper, has written sports, news and human interest freelance articles for more than 60 publications and has written three books -- two sports biographies and "Soldiers of Saratoga County" (The History Press). He and his better half, Bonnie, and their cat, Popper, live in Glens Falls; are avid sports fans and enjoy travel, nearing completion of their goal to visit every U.S. state capital. MIKAYLA Mikayla Ploof was born and raised in Saranac Lake, New York. She grew up running through the woods with her brother and parents looking for salamanders under logs, chasing thunderstorms, and exploring the world around her. Her first camera was a hand-me-down from her mother, a 35 mm film camera. Ever since then, she has been outside taking pictures of everything from f lowers to wildlife to landscapes. CAITLIN Originally from the Coast of Maine, Caitlin Kelly has called the Adirondack Mountains home since graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2016, building community through her work with Women of the Adirondacks and The Adirondack Community Avalanche Project. She spent her twenties working in the woods, building and clearing trails for the Adirondack Mountain Club, and as an Interior Outpost Caretaker and Assistant Forest Ranger for New York 's Department of Environmental Conservation. In the winter she's on skis as often as possible, whether deep in the backcountry or ski patrolling at Whiteface Mountain. She currently resides in Lake Placid, NY, where she works for North Country Public Radio. Her writing has appeared in Powder Magazine, Adirondack Life Magazine, Freeskier, The Ski Journal, Outside, and Ski Magazine, among other publications.
