W H O ' S W H O ERIC Eric Adsit can't cross a bridge without looking for a river beneath it. He calls Lake Placid home and spends as much time as possible on the rivers, trails, and mountains of the Adirondacks and beyond. When he's not helping with LOCALadk, he can usually be found with a camera in hand producing films and photos celebrating the outdoors and the communities found in the Adirondacks. RHIANNON Rhiannon Berry Adsit runs, bikes, swims, and writes whenever and wherever she can, gets unreasonably excited about beautiful trees, and has yet to meet a dog she didn't love. Born and raised in North Syracuse, NY, she seeks to instill hope, empathy, and kindness (along with vicarious fandom for Syracuse University basketball) in her high school English students and beyond. When she isn't writing, teaching, or playing outdoors, she loves to read, play music, and spend time with loved ones. LOCALadk NICOLE Nicole Draina DeCapria, ANCA's Climate & Energy Communications Coordinator, thrives at the intersection of climate communication, creative strategy, and community impact — crafting mission-driven content that high- lights the team's regional work. As a Southern Adirondacks native, she's passionate about protecting the region she calls home. Off the clock, you'll usually find her kayaking with her pups, Callie and Skye, or looking at plants with a film camera in hand. ALLEN Allen Ditch spent his career as a globe-trotting clinical research Quality Professional, visiting and evaluating oncology research programs around the world. Now retired, he's traded airports for community involvement and the quiet serenity of living in the Adirondacks, calling the little hamlet of Wanakena home. He currently serves as President of the Wanakena Historical Association, helping preserve and celebrate the area's rich history. WILL Will lives in Saranac Lake and seeks out work and hobbies that allow him to be outside. He got his start in the Adirondacks working at Raquette River Outfitters and Cascade Ski Center, then taught outdoor education for St. Lawrence University's Adirondack Semester. More recently he has focused on learning carpentry and is now making maple syrup at Heaven Hill Farm. When not at work he can often be found canoeing or skiing with friends and family.
