Born: 1919 in Schenectady, New York.
Hometown: Edinburg on the Great Sacandaga
Local since: 1948
Family: A widow since 1974, Norma has 3 children, 5 grandkids and 4 great grandkids
The Start of her Photography Career: "My aunt gave me a brownie camera when I was 15. I
enjoyed photographing farm animals, planes and my little sister. It cost me 25 cents to develop
a roll with 8 photos per roll."
Favorite Adirondack Scenes to Photograph:
"Sunrises on Sacandaga, the Copeland covered bridge on Beecher Creek, flowers, and of course
my family."
Advice to Younger Folks: "Keep moving, enjoy life and do as much as you are able to."
