Fall 2016 LOCALadk Magazine 4
LOCALadk
The Adirondacks are known for pristine waters, stunning mountain vistas, and so much more natural beauty. As Ed-
itor of LOCALadk I wholeheartedly agree. Natural wonders not withstanding, I really think it's the people who live
and work here that make the Adirondack Park so unique. Our contributors are without a doubt those who helped to
make the magazine a success.
When LOCALadk was first started my goal was to produce a high quality magazine with the help of some of the
many amazing people in and around the Blue Line. As I was putting the finishing touches on the 2016 fall issue I
was feeling very grateful. LOCALadk is so lucky to have such fun and interesting people writing and sharing their
photography with us. We believe you don't necessarily have to be a professional but you do need to be passionate
about what you want to share with others.
We encourage those who enjoy the magazine and feel they have a story or photograph to share to reach out to us.
Tell us about your passion. Maybe we can work towards developing an interesting, original article that other read-
ers can enjoy and hopefully learn from.
If you have an idea about a possible story (for any season) email me at anne@localadk.com . Any submission will be
given thorough consideration. Fresh, educational, adventurous stories are what we look for. If you have a passion
about any aspect of the Adirondack Park please help us share your passion with others.
We look forward to hearing about your friends or neighbors who might inspire you to keep exploring the unique
social, cultural, and natural wonders that make the Adirondacks so special.
Our new Keep It LOCAL campaign is happy to announce we will be making a donation to several organizations this
issue. First we would like to support, The Ausable River Association for its environmental protection work.
