The next leg of the journey is to take the ferry across
Prince William Sound to Whittier, then drive to
Seward, which is situated at the head of Resurrection
Bay on the Kenai Peninsula. When in Seward, I would
recommend spending at least a day on a wildlife and
glacier sightseeing charter boat. You will be treated
to whales breaching, Stellar sea lions barking, Dall
porpoise chasing your wake, otters playing, and a
huge variety of seabirds. A visit to the Seward Sealife
Center is a great side trip anytime, and especially if
weather makes outdoor adventures problematic.
Wrap up your epic Alaska Solstice Adventure with an
overnight in Anchorage, where you can rent a bike
and explore the city and its surrounding on a nice
smooth bike path. As for food, eat as much fresh Hal-
ibut as you can and wash it down with a Sockeye Red
IPA from Midnight Sun Brewing Company - trust me,
it is that good!
