LOCALadk | Inside DAVE David McCahill is an avid fan of any pursuit which involves snow, mountains, mud or singletrack - an outcome he attributes to an upbringing in Lake Placid in the heart of the Adirondack Playground. He is currently living and teaching English in Innsbruck, Austria. As of this First Issue, he's still there, enjoying crisp Austrian powder. JULIE & TERRY Terry and Julie Robards are both writers who are passionate about food and wine. A world acclaimed wine critic and member of the Wine Media Guild - Wine Writer's Hall of Fame, Terry is a former wine columnist for the NY Times, the NY Post, Wine Spectator, and former editor of Wine Enthusiast Magazine. He is the author of five books, including the New York Times Book of Wine. Julie is a journalist, former editor of L'Ordine Della Vite - Italian Wine Society Newsletter, and author of two books on antique plastics. Their favorite wines are pinot noirs - and they are both members of L'Ordine Della Vite and the Chevalier du Tastevin Burgundian Wine Society. They own Terry Robards Wines & Spirits, in Lake Placid, NY and enjoy nothing more than sharing a good meal and fine wine with like-minded friends. JOHN John Radigan is a photographer, artist, lecturer, and workshop instructor respected for his penetrating photographs and captivating print interpretations of nature's wonders. John's work has received many awards and been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in venues such as Cleveland Botanical Garden (Cleveland, Ohio); Lake Placid Center for the Arts (Lake Placid, New York); Lake Metroparks (Kirtland, Ohio); Arts Center/Old Forge (Old Forge, New York); and the Fine Arts Association (Willoughby, Ohio).
