LOCALadk
The team has been working very hard at creating a
beautiful and exciting summer issue.
We are so fortunate so many talented people share
their words, experiences, skills, knowledge and pho-
tography with us.
Our stunning cover photo was created by the won-
derfully talented and forever generous John DiGiaco-
mo.
John takes his art seriously and shoots with respect,
this loon family was photographed from a distance
using a long lens and with patience from John.
John and his wife recently moved from the area to
be closer to family. We will miss seeing new work but
also know no one who loves the Adirondacks leaves
for good.
Cheers to you, John.
With future issues, you may start to notice small
changes and hear different voices.
My hope is, in fact, that you do.
As it was mentioned in our spring issue, Rhiannon
and Eric Adsit have taken the lead roles in the creation
of the magazine. Part of my decision to transition out
was to provide space for fresh ideas and encourage
new growth. Rhiannon and Eric are beginning to make
it their own while honoring the magazine's history and
core values.
To our loyal readers and supporters, thank you for
helping make LOCALadk successful over the past 10
years. I hope the next 10 bring as much joy and satis-
faction to Rhiannon and Eric as they have for me.
Enjoy summer, and thank you for your part in allow-
ing me the opportunity to share and create so many
great Adirondack stories.
Happy Spring,
Anne
