JAMIE Jamie Kennard is a wildlife photographer and documentary filmmaker. He spent the last 12 years in the backcountry of the Catskills and Adirondacks threading the needle on skis in somewhat questionable conditions. He recently released VARIABLE, a documentary film following the journey to ski the 46 High Peaks. Jamie lives in Woodstock, NY, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. NATHALIE Nathalie Costa Thill has been the Executive Director of the Adirondack Center for Writing since its inception in 1999. She sits on the steering Committee of LITNET, a national group which raises the level of awareness of the literary arts throughout the country, and has spoken on several occasions on behalf of the National Endowment for the Arts about her prison writing program. She is a storyteller and has told dozens of stories on stages across the Adirondacks. BRITTA Britta Hennessy, a fifth-generation summer Seventh Lake resident, has always dreamed of spending her days in the Adirondacks. Those dreams became reality in 2016 when she and her husband quit their jobs in Manhattan to move to the Adirondacks full time. They co-founded Great Pines resort and now own Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company, an outdoor gear retailer and adventure rental hub in Old Forge, NY. She and her husband Devlin feel grateful to live in the ADK year round and are busy raising their two small boys Olin (7) and Vale (5). PAUL Paul Post has covered Adirondack pro hockey for The Saratogian since 1995. He has written sports, news and human interest freelance articles for more than 60 publications and has authored three books -- two sports biographies and "Soldiers of Saratoga County" (The History Press). He and his better half, Bonnie, and their cat, Popper, live in Glens Falls; are avid sports fans; and enjoy travel, nearing completion of their goal to visit every U.S. state capital. ELIZA Eliza joined the ADK team in 2023 with nearly four years of experience in environmental education, and a bachelor's degree in environmental education and interpretation from SUNY ESF. In her role, she leads school programs and other interpretive programming based at ADK's Heart Lake Program Center, Cascade Welcome Center, and Johns Brook Lodge. PHIL Phil Brown edited the Adirondack Explorer for 19 years before retiring in 2018. He is the author of Adirondack Paddling: 65 Great Flatwater Adventures and publisher of Adirondack Birding: 60 Great Places to Find Birds. He also collected and annotated the regional writings of Bob Marshall in Bob Marshall in the Adirondacks. He continues to write for the Explorer and other publications. When not at the computer, he's doing something important such as climbing a slide, skiing the Jackrabbit Trail, or riding the BETA trails.
