Like many great companies, they started in a garage. In this case, they started brewing in Dean's garage, but soon realized they would need a commercial space to brew their beer properly. The brewery now occupies a newly-renovated building that allows them to process all the beer on site; it also has a tasting room where they serve samples, pints, and growlers. They are located in the Village of Lowville, which is outside the park; but the beer is so good, we didn't think you would mind. Dean and Jerry also have a New York Farm Brewery license, so they are required to have 20% of their ingredients sourced by N.Y. growers. They are also trying their hand at growing their own hops. Dean and Jerry enjoy trying new recipes and will often have several new beers on tap. A favorite is the India Black Rye, which combines great malt flavor, nice hop character, and an awesome rye kick at the end. They also serve Rye Stout, English Mild, and an IPA. They call themselves "very nano", as they operate a 1/2 bbl brewery. Their business plan calls for them to start small and grow slowly.
