6 Summer 2015 LOCALadk Magazine LOCALadk TATE FRANTZ is a second of three boys. He was born and is being raised in Lake Placid New York. In the winter months he trains with NYSEF's (New York Educational Ski Foundation) Nordic Combined Team where he enjoys soaring off the jumps and the challenge of skate skiing. In the warmer months, he runs or bikes to school, plays lacrosse and soccer and hikes and climbs mountains with his family. Tate Eric ERIC ADSIT can't cross a bridge without looking for a river beneath it. While his mailing address is in Lowville, he lives on the rivers, trails, and mountains of the ADK and beyond, taking photos, climbing things, and writing about his experiences. As a whitewater kayaker for nearly half his life, and the founder of the online magazine 'The Dirtbag's Guide to Whitewater," he is now assembling a guidebook on northern NY rivers. Jessica & Casey JESSICA and CASEY SEEM were both born in central New York (twenty-nine years apart) and now reside in Oakham, Massachusetts with husband/father Kevin, son/brother Elliot, and dog Watson. Casey is nine years old and enMoys playing tKe fiddle, acting, Eaking, computer programming, and playing outside. Jessica raises vegetables and small grains, and also enjoys running and singing. They both like to spend time hiking, biking, and skiing, and are especially happy when these adventures take them to the Adirondacks. ANDREW LEWIS is co-owner, co-founder of Aquatic Invasive Management, LLC a local business specializing in diver hand harvesting of invasive species in lakes and ponds. He is a graduate of Paul Smiths College where he majored in Natural Resources Management and spent his summers working for the Adirondack Watershed Institute. Andrew grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia but became an Adirondack transplant in after Kis first year of college. Since tKen Ke Kas spent every summer on or in tKe Zater removing invasive species. Andrew Anne ANNE BREWER lives in Lake Placid with her husband, Peter Evans, his daughter Ellie, and their dog Juni. She is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast, kayaker, hiker, skier, photographer, and traveler. She has a passion for Central and South America and enjoys visiting places that are off the beaten path. Anne earned a degree in International Business and Communications from SUNY Brockport. In addition to being the Managing Editor for LOCALadk, Anne guides for Adventures in Good Company, and operates her own summer business: Placid Waters Kayaking. Who's Who
