INCENTIVES
In case I haven't yet made the case for everyone to rush out to play golf,
here are some incentives.
Golf at Par: No, this isn't a reference to your score. The Malone, Highland
Greens, Saranac Inn, and Tupper Lake golf courses are offering a great
number of stay and play packages, and the prices are at par for Canadian
visitors!
Putts and Pints: Apres golf in the Adirondacks includes delving into the
region's emerging local beer scene. Check out an eclectic mix of award-
winning microbreweries featuring hand-crafted local brews, on the beer
trail that includes Big Tupper Brewing, Raquette River Brewing, and
Township 7 Brewing.
MULLIGAN
In full disclosure, golf has its downside. Sometimes, for instance, it
rains. And, in the Adirondacks, the spectacular views of the surrounding
mountains and lakes certainly enhance the immersive natural experience,
but they also provide an added test of keeping your head down as you hit
the ball. The scenic distraction can really hurt your score if you let it.
In golf, the term "mulligan" means an extra do-over shot. Keep that in
mind, as you might need to use one.
