Up & Comer: Garrett Kopp, founder of Birch Boys Chaga, is one of the young en- trepreneurs popping up all over the Adirondacks. He has created a successful business around a medicinal mushroom that grows on live birch. The mushroom is dried, ground, and made into tea. Sweet As Honey: Learn about what makes beekeeping and honey producing so special in the Adirondacks. Is it attitude, or altitude, or maybe both? The path less paddled: Paddling a few of the remote and wild locations in the Adiron- dacks. These locations are worth the extra effort and will leave you planning your next paddling adventure. Running Through The park: A road race with teams of 12 relay runners completing over 220 miles just so they can have a cold Saranac Beer at the end. The race starts on top of Whiteface and ends at the Saranac Brew- ery in Utica. Teamwork is the key to success in this race. Hub on the hill: Creating a shared space for local farmers and entrepreneurs to create and sell handmade and home grown products. Teachable ADK Moments: Learn how to fly fish at this special camp hosted by The Moun- taineer in Keene Valley. The goal is to use positive teachable moments to create a memorable fishing experience.
