8 Fall 2017 LOCALadk Magazine LOCALadk Who's Who Anne ANNE BREWER lives in Lake Placid with her husband, Peter Evans, his daughter Ellie, and their dog Juni. She is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast, kayaker, hiker, skier, photographer, and traveler. She has a passion for Central and South America and enjoys visiting places that are off the beaten path. Anne earned a degree in International Business and Communications from SUNY Brockport. In addition to being the Managing Editor for LOCALadk, Anne guides for Adventures in Good Company, and operates her own summer business: Placid Waters Kayaking. Eric ERIC ADSIT can't cross a bridge without looking for a river beneath it. While his mailing address is in Lowville, he lives on the rivers, trails, and mountains of the Adirondacks and beyond, taking photos, climbing things, and writing about his experiences. He lives with his parents, two brothers, and their dog Quincy. Andrew enjoys cross country and downhill skiing in the winter and enjoys baseball, biking, swimming, and camping in the summer. Andrew especially loves performing in plays, singing, and making music with any instrument he picks up. Andrew Nicole NICOLE ST. LOUIS lives in Bloomingdale, NY with her husband, Jeremiah, and their dog, King. Together they own SLove Health Club, a health and fitness center located at 69 Main Street, Saranac Lake, NY. In the summer months, she can be found in her vegetable garden or kayaking one of the many gorgeous waterways in and around the Adirondacks. During the long winters, she enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and hunkering down near the woodstove with a good book. Nicole's current hobbies include homesteading, cooking, creating recipes, and traveling the world. BETHANY GARRETSON is an instructor of Environment Studies at Paul Smith's College, a writer, and passionate mountain climber. Her work examines Nature and Culture and the intricate and complicated relationships between the two. She lives in Paul Smith's with her husband and fun loving terrier mix, Tahawus. Bethany SARAH HART is a writer, and also managing editor of theelephant.press, a publication about diverse perspectives and truths. She moved back to the Adirondacks five years ago, and lives on Osgood Pond with her fiance and their wonderful baby daughter, two English mastiffs, and cat. Sarah
